Week of Tea Reviews Day 2 | Tastea Detox Tea

Week of Tea Reviews Day 2 | Tastea Detox Tea

This is not my first time with detox teas, but it is so interesting to me to see the different ways people approach detox teas. There are some companies which shove as many “detoxifying” ingredients together with no thought on how they might combine, but as much as I can see, Tastea Detox carefully picked their ingredients choosing quality over quantity.

Also….today is day two of the Week of Tea Reviews. Don’t forget that I also have a GIVEAWAY going on with Red Root Shop right now! To enter, you can go on Instagram and enter there (rules on the giveaway post), but if you do not have Instagram (or want extra entries) you can enter by commenting on this post and every post on this blog this week for 10 entries! A comment equals 2 entries! Good Luck!

Analyzation of the Tea:

This tea is quite different from other detox teas that I have tried. Again, even before I tried it, I saw that the ingredient list was more simple than any other detox tea that I have seen. While many others are more herbal and do not have actual tea leaves in them, Tastea Detox has oolong tea. It was more mild tasting than I was expecting, which is why adding honey made the tea more suited to my tastes. I did feel more energetic after drinking the tea.

I usually do not do this, but I wanted to see if this detox tea worked, but I am currently doing a liver detox from Tress Teas. So, I gave 5 days of this detox tea to my aunt who agreed to try the Tastea detox tea and report her findings. I am usually the only one reviewing this tea, but I did not want to wait for two months to pass before being able to review this tea! My aunt had this tea around the same time every day for 5 days in a row. She told me that she started to see some results and benefits after only three days of having this tea and that the benefits lasted a bit after she finished her 5 days. (I understand it is a 14-day detox, but I wanted to make sure I could try the tea as well and have extras in case the detox did not work for my aunt).

She reported that she had a tiny bit of increased energy after drinking the tea and that she had felt like she had slept better. When reading the reviews on this tea before agreeing to try the tea, one review stated that she felt her “muffin top” shrunk in the 14 days of drinking the tea. My aunt and I laughed because we did not think it would be possible for a tea to do that, especially in only 14 days. However, my aunt was surprised that she felt like her stomach muscles were more tight and pulled in when drinking this tea and a few days after as well.

Ingredients: Moringa, Lotus Leaf, Cassia Seed, Oolong tea

Analyzation of the Ingredients:

Moringa: This ingredient is known to reduce swelling and inflammation. It also gives a boost to the immune system. Moringa also is a great source of vitamins A, C, E, potassium and protein.

Lotus Leaf: This ingredient is known for helping lower cholesterol and blood pressure, helping with anxiety, prevents carbs and fat from being absorbed. It also promotes healthy liver function.

Cassia Seed: This ingredient is used to aid the digestive system, intestines, and liver. It is also known to relieve several infections.

Oolong Tea: This tea is believed to help boost your metabolism.

Analyzation of the Price:

The price of the tea is fairly decent for a better-quality detox tea. It is $25 for a 14-day detox (1 tea a day), but is currently on sale for $19.95. That is about $1.78 per cup ($1.43 on sale). This is fairly expensive for the quantity of tea you get for the price, but I think that if you like detox tea but want a tea that is more natural, this would be a great choice for you!

  1. I don’t have experience with detox teas, although I think I have one or two in my collection. I acquired them not knowing they were detox teas, and as a nursing mother I’ve decided to wait to try them. I’ll be interested to see if I experience anything different after drinking the teas.

    1. Please let me know if anything happens! I have been very interested in people’s opinions of these teas since it seems to be the opinions of “This works 100%” or “Detox Teas do not work at all”. Thanks for your comment!!
