Paromi Tea Subscription Box | Unboxing Part 2

Paromi Tea Subscription Box | Unboxing Part 2

I am excited. So gosh dang excited. The first subscription box of Paromi Tea was so unique and different from any other teas that I have tried, that I have such high hopes for this month’s subscription. Spoiler Alert: I was not disappointed. This box was just as unique and tasty as the first. This box was more berry themed, with one tea being an oddball thrown in there (which I loved). Here is the latest subscription box from Paromi Tea!

Cran-Cherry: This tea was definitely a more subtle combination of green tea and the cherry-cranberry taste. I could prominently smell the cranberry and strawberry before each taste and the sip actually changed depending on if the tea was cold-brewed or hot-brewed. When the tea was cold, you could taste more of the fruitiness and less of the green tea, almost like naturally fruit-flavored water (aka…tea?). When hot, the taste of the green tea was more prominent and the berry flavor was more subtle on the end of the tea. I noticed that the teas leaves were so beautiful and steeped so fully, which made me extremely happy because that is usually a sign of quality.

Paromi stated that this tea tastes like light tannins, smooth, sweet with cherry-like taste and an oh so subtle lingering ginger at the end. I do not think I agree with this assessment as much. I failed to taste the ginger, which is surprising since ginger can be such a powerhouse in flavor. I would try to brew this tea a little more than my normal 3 minutes, since the flavor was slightly more light than I would have wanted.

Ingredients: Organic Green Tea, Organic Orange Peel, Natural Cranberry Flavor, Organic Ginger, Organic Cranberries, Organic Strawberry Slices, Organic Strawberry Pieces, Organic Red Currants, Organic Blueberries, Natural Cherry Flavor, Natural Strawberry Flavor

Moringa Berry-Good: This tea was a beautiful blend of the moringa and the berries. I think moringa and hibiscus are a blend that I did not see coming but really surprised me with how much they complemented one another. I also am very happy to say that I now can identify the taste and aroma of moringa (which a few weeks ago I was not able to do as much). I could really taste the moringa the most. But on the backside of this tea, I could taste the hibiscus and raspberry the most.

Paromi states that this tea has a well-constructed body, is mildly tart, light grassiness with balanced strawberry and wildberry on the finish. I agree with this assessment as well, this tea showcases the moringa but allows other flavors to come through.

Ingredients: Apple Bits, Hibiscus, Moringa Leaves, Fennel, Strawberry Leaves, Natural Strawberry Flavor, Natural Raspberry Flavor, Raspberry Bits, Strawberry Slices

Yuzu Berry Blast: I really, really enjoyed this tea. It was quite zingy. This is honestly the first word that comes to mind when thinking of this tea. The yuzu and citrus ingredients in this tea made the entire tea come alive in your mouth. I really was able to identify many of the individual flavors, as well as the yuzu flavor (this was my first interaction with yuzu…and I loved it!). According to Paromi, this tea is tart with citrus, yuzu, raspberry punch. I 100% agree. That was my first impression of this tea. This tea packed a punch and had a zingy, alive feeling when tasting. I could really focus and taste each individual flavor (except the chokeberry pomace…I am unsure what that is).

Ingredients: Organic Apple Bits, Organic Hibiscus, Organic Rose Hip, Organic Strawberry Leaves, Natural Yuzu Flavor, Organic Chokeberry Pomace, Organic Goji Berries, Organic Orange Wedges, Organic Berry Bits, Organic Black Currants, Natural Raspberry Flavor, Natural Black Currant Flavor

Tonka Bean Queen: Wow, that was my first impression for sure. I think I was the most blown away with the flavor and complexity of this tea compared to the rest in this box. Do not get me wrong, I loved all of the teas in the box, but this one really shined. I could taste the carrots and orange flavorings very subtly. I did not know that they could be combined in such a fantastic way or that they even belonged together. I usually do not like carrots, but I guess I like to drink them. Then there is an added layer of nuttiness and spice that really bring the tea entirely together. When trying this tea, I also gave some to my boyfriend and his family. They too loved the citrusy flavors and the subtle flavor that this tea brought.

Paromi stated that this tea tasted of soft tannins with intoxicating vanilla, almond, caramel and clove taste. I think I had a slightly different impression but it was a very smooth and subtle tea. I think the ingredients blended extremely well and were able to highlight the citrus tastes as well as the black tea tannins.

Ingredients: Organic Black Tea, Organic Green Tea, Organic Carrot Pieces, Organic Almond Pieces, Organic Cocoa Bean Pieces, Natural Tonka Bean Flavoring, Natural Tangerine Flavor, Organic Rose Petals, Organic Marigold Blossom

Wow, I cannot wait for next month’s box! I am so excited, each tea has been so exciting and new for me! Do you guys subscribe to any tea subscription boxes? Which ones and what are your thoughts? Let me know! Happy brewing!

  1. I found it interesting that you tried the cran-cherry two different ways and had two different tastes, cold brew vs hot brewed. I will have to try that sometime.
