Little Prayer Tea Co | Tea Review

Little Prayer Tea Co is a family-owned company that believes a little prayer belongs to everyone and can start with your morning cup of tea! I recently did a giveaway with them and they provided a special code (which we gave everyone for the giveaway) so everyone can experience this tea! Use “TEAANDME” for 15% on your next order. They sent me SIX teas to review! And I had such a tasty time reviewing this tea; here are my thoughts!

Analyzation of the Teas:

Cinnamon Spice: This tea reminded me of the candy, Hot Tamales. Where I was expecting subtle cinnamon before opening, this tea packed quite a cinnamon punch aroma. It smelled like the little cinnamon candies and tasted a tiny bit like it too. I was quite surprised but really happy with its unique taste. I have not tried any tea that has that flavor before, and it would be a great punchy wake-me-up in the morning. The taste was more subdued than its aroma, however, which made me like this tea more. I could really taste the cinnamon flavors and the clove. I do have to knock down a few points for the Natural Flavors bucket ingredient since I am not sure what exact Natural Flavors they are using in this tea. But I still really enjoyed it!

Ingredients: Black Tea, Natural Flavors, Orange Peel, Clove, Ginger, Cinnamon

Jasmine Pheonix Pearls: I love the look of this tea. The little pearls are just beautiful and I just had to watch them unfurl when steeping (and then again for a second steeping!). The smell of this tea was a very aromatic jasmine, but the tea had much more of a subtle jasmine taste mixed with a nice light green tea taste. I made this one with my sister (and she took a little bit home because she loves jasmine tea), and we both agreed that the jasmine and green tea really blended well together. This tea was able to steep another time, but it was not as strong as the first steeping. I love jasmine tea so I was beyond happy with how this tea tasted!

Ingredients: Green Tea, Jasmine Flowers

Creamy Coconut Breeze: This tea. Oh my goodness. It literally is everything I wanted in a tea, and I never knew that I could love coconut tastes in my tea. I also love the delicate nature of the white tea, which is a very delicate and beautiful tea. It mixed perfectly with that of the coconut flavor, which I tasted on the top of my palette with each sip. I was not able to detect any additional flavors in this tea, but I could totally see myself relaxing after work or mid-afternoon with this tea! This one definitely has the entire experience, the aroma and taste are both so heavenly. Again, a couple points off for the natural and artificial flavors because I do not know exactly what the ingredients are (which could be bad for people with allergies).

Ingredients: Organic White Tea, Organic Safflower, Organic Coconut, Natural and Artificial Flavors

Clear My Throat Tea: My mom was excited about this tea and definitely helped me with this review. There is a spicy aroma around this tea and it reminded me of medicinal tea. Right away, I could taste the peppermint and a slight sweetness at the end of my throat which I normally associate with licorice. I can more feel the ginger than taste it though, which I actually like since it allows me to focus more on how I feel than the taste. I do not know if my throat is more open, but my mom definitely felt a bit more relief in her throat. I like the feel of this tea when drinking, My mouth feels very (alert?) fresh and my nose actually cleared up a few minutes after finishing.

Ingredients: Organic Ginger, Organic Peppermint, Organic Licorice, Organic Orange Peel, Organic Fennel, Organic Marshmallow Leaf, Organic Clove, Organic Echinacea

Lavender Vanilla: This was my and my mom’s favorite tea of the bunch. It was absolutely heavenly tasting, with a wonderful mix of the lavender and vanilla. The first steeping brought a nice mix of the lavender with slight coconut and vanilla sweetness in the mix. The lavender definitely shone through in this tea. The aroma of this tea was beautiful while steeping and it reminded me a lot of white chocolate mixed with lavender. The second steeping highlighted the vanilla taste more, which was a fun twist. Both steepings were absolutely lovely and made me sad when I finished my cup. My mom actually loved this tea so much that she bought more! I was quite interested in the fact that you could taste the black tea as much, the strong lavender, vanilla, and coconut flavors masked it. I did not mind this though, as it was an energizing cup of tea that tasted divine!

Ingredients: Black Tea, Natural Vanilla Flavor, Lavender, Coconut

Chocolate Banana: This was the tea I was most unsure of going in. I am not a big fan of artificial banana flavoring and it scared me. The aroma is that of banana, rooibos, and a tiny bit of a sweet smell which was the chocolate. The banana scent was a tiny bit more artificial than a normal banana smell, which was slightly concerning. The color of the tea was a bright orangey golden color. The taste was quite different from the aroma, much like the Cinnamon Spice Tea. There was a natural sweetness that I could detect at the end of each sip, but the taste was primary that of banana and rooibos. I was happy that the banana tasted mostly normal and not very artificial. After I swallowed, I could still taste the lingering sweetness of the banana. I could taste a bit of creaminess in this tea as well (the texture was also fairly creamy), which I assume was the chocolate.

Ingredients: Rooibos, Organic Honeybush, Sweet Ground Chocolate* (sugar, cocoa-processed w/alkali, unsweetened chocolate, soy lecithin, vanilla), Banana Bits, Apple Bits, Cacao Nibs, Pink Peppercorn, Natural Flavors

Analyzation of the Prices:

Most of these teas have a variety of ways that one can buy them, there are $3 sample sizes, 4oz tins (varies in price, but the Jasmine Pheonix Pearls were $16.95), Refills for the tins (2oz for $8.95 and 4oz for $15.95 for Pearls), and a 1lb pouch for $65. The prices vary depending on the type of tea that you purchase, but I absolutely love the $3 sample sizes. I think it is a great way to try different teas and explore which staying in a reasonable price range. Also, (bear with me while I plug this promo code) you can get 15% off of your next purchase with the code “TEAANDME”.

Analyzation of the Packaging:

The packaging was quite nice and compact. I received one tin of the Jasmine Pheonix Pearls, which was a nice airtight and durable tin. I was also really happy that they continued with their company vision by adding small prayers to every tea package. It is a nice way of adding their vision to their products. I do not plan on moving the teas to different packaging, I think they will keep quite nicely.

There we have it. I hope you enjoyed this latest tea review! I really love this company (my mom does too, she already bought more tea from them) and even think that the sample sizes might make great Christmas gifts for my friends! See you in the next post! Happy Brewing!
