Paromi Tea Subscription | FINAL UNBOXING

Three Months of Paromi Tea Subscription Boxes. Thank you so much, this was a fantastic experience. But now, it is coming to an end. After reflecting on my past 3 months with this company, I can honestly say that I was always satisfied with their teas and the quality of them. They tasted fresh, and they smelled fresh and full of flavor. I could not wait for the next month to come to see what I would get. This is actually the September box I am reviewing (I know, I know. I was behind and have a first-come-first-served review policy for most cases). If you haven’t yet, check out my first and second reviews: Week of Tea Reviews Day 1 | Paromi Tea Box | Part 1 of 3 and Paromi Tea Subscription Box | Unboxing Part 2. But without further ado, here is my final thoughts on Paromi Tea.

Analyzation of the Teas:

Sweet Dreams: This tea was quite relaxing, so much that I made an entire pot each time I tried it! There were two prominent ingredients that I could really taste in this tea: fennel and chamomile. As soon as I took a sip, I was overwhelmed by the combination, as it was strong (Even on a second steep!). Diving into this tea more, I noticed a hint of natural sweetness in the tea, possibly because of the raisins? I noticed that after each sip, I noticed that my mouth felt clean and refreshed and slightly minty. I really enjoyed this tea, and so did my dad who was sick when trying out this tea (my family sometimes reaps the benefits of my being a tea blogger).

Ingredients: Fennel, Raisins, Lemon Grass, Valerian Root, Cardamom, Sage Leaves, Chamomile Flowers, Peppermint

Rwanda OP1: I usually am hesitant to say this, but this tea was not really my favorite. There was a note in this tea that hit my tastebuds the wrong way, but I could not identify what exactly I was tasting. The same note was also evident in the tea’s aroma when brewing and when I smelled the leaves before using them. But the main taste of this tea was a slight tannin taste with a tiny bit of nuttiness and something else unidentifiable. It was almost like a spiciness (but not) that showed up in the tea and in the middle of my tongue when sipping.  OKAY! I tried it again, and I thoroughly believe that my straw gave me weird tastes from this tea. It is completely normal back tea, that is mostly smooth and does have a little hint of something almost spicy. But this second try was extremely better than the first.

Ingredients: Organic Black Tea

Buchu Berry: The aroma of this tea filled up my house when I opened the bag and then when steeping! I could definitely identify the hibiscus and blueberry scents in the aroma, it honestly smelled like a juice of some sort. This tea was definitely naturally sweet and tangy which was probably from the hibiscus or natural flavors in this tea (or possible the apple). I think this tea would be great chilled or cold-brewed, as it is an extremely refreshing tea. I was hoping to taste more of the ingredients, but the dominant taste did not allow me to taste anything else! However, I really enjoyed this tea (and so did my mom’s bible study ladies)!

Ingredients: Apple Bits, Blackberry Leaves, Hibiscus, Chokeberry Pomace, Blueberries, Goji Berries, Bucho Leaves, Cornflower Blossoms, Natural Raspberry Flavor, Natural Blueberry Flavor, Natural Strawberry Flavor, Natural Elderberry Flavor

Orange Turmeric: This tea was quite unique. There was an overall taste of orange with hints of sweetness on the back of my tongue, which I identified as the licorice root. I could not really taste the turmeric, but I could taste a slight spiciness from the ginger powder. I was hoping to taste more of the Oolong tea, but the taste was just not present. The tea leaves, however, unfolded beautifully and looked very full! I think of all the teas that I tasted this round, this one tasted the most unnatural. It is not a bad thing. But I could taste the natural flavorings and some odd sweetness which just interrupted my drinking process as it was hard to identify any flavors over the natural flavors.

Ingredients: Oolong Tea, Turmeric Root, Carrot Pieces, Apple Pieces, Licorice Root, Chicory Root, Natural Flavoring, Ginger Powder, Orange Peel, Natural Orange-Flavor, Natural Tropical Fruit Flavor, Natural Vanilla Flavor, Mallow Blossom

Analyzation of the Price…Again:

This subscription box is $30 for a one time purchase or $25 if a recurring order. Honestly, that is not a bad deal at all for quality, organic tea. Each tea comes out to about $7.50 for 1 ounce of tea. Their estimate is about 36 cups of tea, but I am pretty sure that with double steeping I will be able to get more. I think that is a good price on the box, especially with the quality of the tea that you receive.

I hope you guys enjoyed this 3 part review! I am beyond thankful for this long-term collaboration and have really enjoyed the entire journey! What did you guys think? Let me know if you would be interested in seeing a long term subscription box collab again! Happy Brewing!
