The other day, I got to tinkering around in the kitchen with Matcha. I had been walking around my grocery store earlier and found these four dessert cups for $1.30, which I immediately snatched up to experiment with. After one epic fail, I found myself making a recipe with only three additional ingredients and I loved the results!! Here is how I made Matcha Dessert Cups.
Here is What I Did:
- 1 1/2 tsp Matcha from Elevation Tea Co
- 1 1/2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
- 1 Egg White
- 4 Pre-Made Dessert Cups
Whip up your egg white until stiff peaks are achieved. Using a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and matcha in a bowl and use a fork to mix together. Using a sifter, gently sift the powdered mixture into the whipped egg white. Use an electric mixer to combine, be careful not to over mix. Using a piping bag, spoon in the mixture and pipe in pre-made dessert cups. Sprinkle with matcha powder and garnish with your fruit of choice. If not eating right away, put them in the fridge. This recipe makes four Matcha Dessert Cups.
The result of this is a wonderful matcha cream that is quite strong in the matcha taste and a sweet cake base which compliment each other amazingly. My brother loved them as well and is patiently waiting for me to make some more. All in all, this probably took me about 10 minutes total to do, so it is quite easy and simple.
This was such an easy recipe, and one that I really love. When in the right mood, it really hits the spot! Happy Brewing!
